Birthday Parties

We love celebrating birthdays at The Village Playspace. We believe the parents should be celebrated along with the birthday child — after all, it is their birthday as well. That is why we help clean up for every one of our party packages, so you get to enjoy the day too.

All of our parties are private. There is a dedicated space for food, and packages to suit every budget.

Do It For Me

Just show up and enjoy the party. We handle every detail you want us to handle. Every party is custom — we work from an inspiration picture you provide and bring it to life with The Village Playspace aesthetic. Two hours, up to 15 children.

A little more elbow grease, and they still come out beautiful. We hand you a blank space done properly — tables with white tablecloths and all the hooks in the right places — for you to create your masterpiece. You can add creative help from us if you would like it. An hour and a half of party time.

Parties with more than 14 children are automatically upgraded to Do It Yourself: Standard.

Every party includes linens, clean-up, help loading and unloading, and parking for the party host.

Good to know

Headcount

Facility maximum is 70 total guests.

All walkers count towards the children’s headcount. Crawlers are excluded. Guests 13 and over count as adults.

Every package includes 24 adults. Additional adults are $10 each.

Additional children are $20 each on Do It Yourself packages and $25 each on Do It For Me packages.

Headcount is finalised on the day. We’ll ask for an estimate a week beforehand.

Food & Drink

Food is not included in any package. You are welcome to bring your own — cake, cupcakes, snacks, whatever suits you, and most families do.

If you would like us to provide pizza, juice and water for the children, that is $75. We’ll send you a separate note about it around ten days before your party.

We are a completely nut-free building. Nothing containing nuts can come into the space, for any guest, adult or child.

We do not allow alcohol at birthday parties.

Booking Your Party

Parties run Saturdays and Sundays. Do It For Me packages can book Saturday 9:30am as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Do It Yourself packages run Saturday and Sunday afternoons only. Sunday mornings are reserved for open play.

Do It For Me parties can be booked up to 12 months ahead, Do It Yourself: Standard up to 60 days ahead, and Do It Yourself: Mini up to 30 days ahead. Every booking needs at least 7 days’ notice.

A $200 deposit holds your date and time and is paid when you book. We’ll email you an itemised invoice for the balance within 48 hours, with your deposit already credited. The balance is due 21 days before your party.

Cancellations & Changes

Cancel 21 or more days before your party and you are refunded in full.

Cancellations within 21 days are not refunded. If your child is unwell we will reschedule you to the next available date, or hold the amount as credit toward classes and open play, with a $200 rebooking fee.

Rescheduling for any other reason carries a $200 fee.

Parties have a 10 minute grace period before and after.

For DIY parties we are unable to dispose of balloon arches and ask that you take them with you. Confetti balloons are not allowed.

To respect our party guests, there are strictly no birthday celebrations during open play or private play sessions — no balloons or decor, singing, cake cutting or gift opening.

Parties To Go

Let’s party at home. To accommodate larger parties, we bring everything you love about a Village Playspace birthday to you — set up and delivery for table and chair rentals, sensory activities, lawn games, decor, and customisation for your party. They did such a good job with decorating, organizing kids food, and providing everything (goody bags, accessories for cake cutting, you name it). Our guests had such a good time that they did not want to leave!
My heart is so happy with how everything went. The staff was super friendly and they took care of everything (even cleanup). We really just showed up with adults food and cake!

We had our 3 year old daughter’s birthday at The Village Playspace and it was such a perfect experience. When I was booking, I got to chat with Tiffany on the phone and ask all my questions. She was amazing and walked me through the space, the day, the time options, and gave me lots of room to think about what would make sense for us.
We had guests from 6 months - almost 7 and everyone had a great time. We also had a lot of guests with allergies and Tiffany and her team helped me to find a way to serve birthday treats for everyone (we had nut, egg, sesame, and gluten free guests). It made it really special that we could accommodate everyone.
Our theme was so cute and my daughter loved it. I was 35 weeks pregnant at her party and just got to enjoy being there! Highly highly recommend!
